InnovateLTC is a business accelerator that will provide a pathway and development plan for those seeking to bring quality of life and quality of care innovations to the expanding Aging Care community. Collaborates with entrepreneurs, researchers, and existing companies to develop business plans, prototypes, and relationships with local industry in order to empower the creation, development, packing and distribution of sustainable, scalable and disruptive products, services and technologies. 


MetaCyte Business Lab, a for-profit subsidiary of the University of Louisville Foundation, is a business accelerator focused on commercializing life science discoveries primarily out of the University of Louisville. In partnership with the scientific inventor and co-founder, MetaCyte creates, launches, and manages portfolio companies, acquiring an equity position in each. The MetaCyte staff serves as a developing company's management team, focused on meeting early development milestones and fundraising, while the scientific co-founder focuses on research and development. Working with the UofL Office of Technology Transfer and Nucleus, MetaCyte's goal is to transform life science discoveries and inventions from the mind to the marketplace to improve the physical and economic health of Metro Louisville and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. 


Kentuckiana Medical Reciprocal Risk Retention Group (KMRRRG)

KMRRRG is the largest of the captives licensed in the state of Kentucky and provides professional liability coverage to Kentucky and Indiana medical professionals.


The Sickle Cell Association of Kentuckiana, Inc. (SCAK) is a tax-exempt not-for-profit organization that provides education, support, and advocacy for individuals with sickle cell disease and their families. SCAK is dedicated to increasing awareness of this disease and supporting endeavors that assure prompt and appropriate medical care. Mission encompasses educating the lay community as well as the medical community about the disease and resources available. 


PRFusion is a public relations firm that specializes in leveraging current and future technologies for clients and how they utilize them to relate to their public. They specialize in search engine optimization, social media engagement, online reputation management, and digital brand management and offer many other services as well. PRFusion looks to match clients with the technologies that will most benefit them. 


Second Floor Tenants


TNG Pharmaceuticals is furthering the development of FlyVax, a patented recombinant protein vaccine designed to disrupt blood-feeding by horn flies. Horn flies are the most economically important pest of livestock in the United States and much of the world, causing significant weight and milk yield losses in livestock; Flyvax alleviates customer pain by systematically decreasing horn fly populations, thus creating higher beef production and milk yield while lowering the labor necessary for fly control.


University Physicians’ Associates

University of Louisville Physicians (ULP) is the largest, multi-specialty physician practice in Louisville with over 600 primary care and specialty physicians and 1,200 dedicated staff professionals. ULP has 78 sub-specialties ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics and has representation in nearly every major healthcare system in Louisville. ULP providers are also professors and researchers at the University of Louisville School of Medicine teaching tomorrows physicians and leading research into new innovative medical advancements. 


The University strives to disseminate the knowledge developed by employees and students for the public good. Pharmaron is a premier R&D service provider for the pharmaceutical industry, providing high quality R&D service across a number of disciplines including chemistry, biology, DMPK, pharmacology, chemical development and toxicology. Mission is to provide the highest quality R&D services while helping clients advance their projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. 

Louisville Bioscience Inc.

Significant breakthrough in the analysis of blood using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). With one drop of blood, the proprietary Plasma ThermogramTMassay indicates the presence of many different diseases including autoimmune, infectious disease and cancers. LBIdxTM is developing both Clinical Diagnostic and Life Science applications for this amazingly sensitive platform. 




Commercialize nanowire based materials and processes in renewable energy sector. Primary focus is on the large scale production of nanowire and nanoparticles suitable for industrial applications; these nanowire based materials will outperform those currently in use by orders of magnitude in a variety of energy conversion and storage applications. 


PGXL is a national leader in Personalized Medicine. The lab develops and performs genetic tests that enable physicians to identify and chart the most effective treatment path for their patients. The diagnostic technology PGXL develops and brings to market has the potential to both improve the quality and lower the cost of health care. 

A life science development company with a mission to help mitigate the spread of health care associated infections (HAI’s). The initial product line consists of an antimicrobial transparent film that can be applied to high touch inanimate surfaces, providing a germ-free surface on items as small as a light switch or as large as a table top in order to significantly reduce cross contamination.


SynergyDev is a locally owned and operated software firm specializing in custom electronic health/medical records solutions. Existing products include online records for weight loss, pain management, and acute care clinics. Other related products focus on bulk inventory, wholesale, and point of sale solutions for small independent pharmacies.


Developing a unique approach to bone marrow transplantation that will make this procedure a therapeutic option for a number of diseases beyond cancers like leukemia. Bone marrow transplant can be used to eliminate the need for anti-rejection drugs after organ transplantation, treat rare genetic disorders and is described by the National Institutes of Health as the only demonstrated cure for sickle cell disease.


EnterpriseCORP is the entrepreneurship-development arm of Greater Louisville Inc. EnterpriseCORP provides community,education, and fund raising assistance to entrepreneurs and companies in the Greater Louisville region. 


The economic development arm of the University of Louisville, Nucleus integrates UofL resources with those of the business community. By building new, state-of-the-art research parks that attract thriving and innovative companies from across the nation, and nurturing promising research from UofL at its earliest stages, Nucleus is creating jobs for the local economy now and in the long-term.
